On Thursday, Oct. 29, we welcome Rinpoche's very special guest, Lama Wangdu Rinpoche. He is a high-level Buddhist spiritual leader who has many followers in Nepal and around the world. He resides part-time in Portland, OR. Rinpoche will host Lama Wangdu Rinpoche at our Center, along with three other guests accompanying him.

On Friday, Oct. 30, Lama will perform the ancient Chod ceremony for which he is an esteemed lineage holder. On Saturday, Oct. 31, 10 to 12 p.m., he will offer blessings to individual Sangha members. If you would like to receive this rare blessing, please come prepared with a khata scarf (also available at MDC) and with your offering. People in Nepal line up in the hundreds twice a month to receive a blessing from Lama. Read more about Lama Wangdu Rinpoche's life story at http://lamawangdu.org/bio/

Please note that there will be no meditation on Saturday.
Our interpreter David Molk has a special close relationship with Lama Wangdu Rinpoche, having translated a seminal Buddhist text with him: The Lion Of Siddhas: The Life And Teachings Of Padampa Sangye. Check it out at http://www.amazon.com/Lion-Of-Siddhas-Teachings-Padampa/dp/1559392991.

We are very grateful that Rinpoche is bringing this most special practitioner of the Dharma to our Center. Please join us to welcome Lama Wangdu Rinpoche and our other guests.
